Monitor color fading on loaned textiles or artifacts using the Nix Spectro L Color Sensor & Scanner. Download the free Nix Toolkit app to your smartphone or tablet and connect it to the scanner via Bluetooth. To scan, place the device flat against the object and tap “Scan” in the app. Save each scan in the app’s library for future reference. Scan the item before it leaves your facility and again when it returns to compare color data side-by-side and detect any fading or damage. Scan data can also be exported as a .csv file for record keeping.
