  • Part of the YourStory Collection

$96.30 USD

Since its original release in 1997, "Book Restoration for Beginners" has remained a classic in bookbinding video instruction and was the first of its kind produced in America. Michael L. Chrisman is a well-known and recognized master bookbinder and rare book conservator. His fine leather bindings and restorations are found in public and private collections around the world, including Asia. In 1999, Mr. Chrisman accepted an invitation from the Chief of Conservation at The Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. to join a team of five in restoring hundreds of books from the President Thomas Jefferson Collection in preparation for the Library of Congress bicentennial in 2000. Now approaching his 30th year in the art, Mr. Chrisman continues to hold a very busy restoration, fine binding and teaching schedule.
