Graphic Designer

POSITION SUMMARY: Gaylord Archival is looking for a graphic designer to be part of their small yet prolific design team and to produce print and web graphics that support their multimedia marketing. Our marketing team consists of strong, independent contributors who always strive to see our marketing approach through the eyes of customers. Thus, a Gaylord Archival designer should be problem-solving, self-starting and process- and deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the photographer and design manager to execute and conceptualize our products and services through thoughtful design while adhering to brand standards
  • Produce our annual catalog
  • Collaborate closely with other team members such as the web team and product management and provide support to the sales team with sales and branding collaterals
  • Keep up with new design techniques, tools and trends; always looking to evolve processes within the team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience
  • Adaptive design eye and skill
  • Must be proficient in InDesign and Photoshop and posess extensive experience with editorial design
  • Knowledge of Illustrator, Premier and After Effects is not a requirement but a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of file preparation for both print and digital
  • Excellent communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers
  • Ability to follow directions and upkeep/improve existing process
  • Must provide a PDF portfolio or digital link of samples for review
