Construction & Materials:
Exclusive to Gaylord, The Metro Case Series exhibit case was designed by a leading manufacturer of museum quality exhibit cases and frames. Each beautifully crafted case is built to help protect and preserve valuable art, textiles and other precious objects. With extra attention paid to security and climate control, these cases are an excellent choice for long- and short-term displays.
Bubble-free and hand polished for a finished look, the acrylic vitrine is flawless in design. Available in standard or UV filtering, all joints are sealed with a water-clear catalyzed adhesive. As with other solvent welding, there is no yellowing, cracking or warping.
The airtight exhibit cavity contains linen wrapped mounting deck over a 9lb. Ethafoam/aluminum panel mount and internal silicone gaskets for minimal air exchange. Once properly secured, rate of air exchange is once every 2-3 months thus reducing the influx of relative humidity.
Black powder-painted aluminum collar and steel base finishes the look.

Optional accessories include: a raised deck with a 60º angled text rail; pneumatic locking system; and conditioned 1" thick silica gel tiles for placement in case cavity for humidity control.

1" silica gel tiles are made from polypropylene honeycomb and polyester non-woven fabric. Flow-through design allows for optimal air contact with gel.
