Preservation Solutions Cellugel Consolidant consolidates deteriorating, powdery leather (red rot). When applied to the book cover, Cellugel is absorbed through the entire thickness of the leather and dries within minutes. The book may then be handled without danger of breathing leather dust or soiling hand and clothes. Cellugel will not darken, discolor or leave film on leather.
- For use on leather-bound books
- Consolidates deteriorating powdery leather, otherwise known as red rot

- Also useful as a pre-treatment before book repair, as it will not harm paper or any book materials it may touch
